Deepfake Detection, Persistent Identity, and More — What's New in March

This month's updates bring stronger fraud protection, faster identity verification, and more control for enterprise teams. From real-time deepfake detection in notary meetings to one-click identity reuse and new org management tools, there's something here whether you're running closings, preparing documents, or managing a multi-branch operation.
Catch Deepfakes in Real Time
Deepfake technology has advanced rapidly, and real-time impersonation attempts during notary meetings are no longer a theoretical threat. This month, we're rolling out real-time deepfake detection for Proof Defend customers — a first-of-its-kind capability that monitors signer video throughout the notary meeting and surfaces an alert the moment suspicious activity is flagged.

When a deepfake is detected, the notary is prompted to run a quick assessment and confirm whether the signer appears to be authentic. That outcome is logged and accessible in Keystone, giving compliance and risk teams a complete record of detection events across their transactions. The feature is being rolled out to all Defend customers through the end of March.
Verify Once, Use Everywhere
For Business customers, proving your identity is now incredibly fast and easy. Introducing Digital ID, the most secure and streamlined way to transact on the Proof network, designed for the Proof for business space. Once users complete IAL2 verification through any Proof product, they can enroll in a reusable Digital ID, their verified identity card for the Proof network. This verified identity can then be reused across future Notarize, Sign, and Identify transactions.
Returning users will skip the full verification process entirely, instead confirming their identity with a quick biometric check, offering the same effortless experience as unlocking a phone with Face ID. Every transaction tied to a Digital ID is secured and activated by this simple biometric authentication, making the user's experience faster and more secure than ever before. Sign everything with confidence and unparalleled ease.

This is part of Proof's broader investment in the Identity Authorization Network, a growing network of verified identities built for trust at the speed and scale of a digital-first world. For businesses with high transaction volumes, it means less friction for returning customers and a stronger, more consistent layer of identity assurance behind every document signed through Proof.
Streamlined Transaction Creation
We've enhanced our transaction creation forms to improve usability and reduce setup time. The new forms feature better organization with clearly grouped sections (Details, Recipients, Signing Details, Communication) and improved visual hierarchy.

Enjoy enhanced phone number inputs, drag-and-drop signer reordering, and a discard draft option. For Business customers, document upload has been moved to the top of the form based on data showing this placement drives better user activation.
The simplified layout fits above the fold, enabling faster transaction creation.
Document Prep Just Got a Lot Faster
Preparing documents just got a lot more efficient. You can now hold shift to select multiple fields at once in the document and template editor, then move or delete them in bulk across Sign, Notarize, and Close.

The ability to multi-select fields is a big win for anyone who's spent time cleaning up a template with misplaced tags. What used to be a tedious field-by-field process now takes seconds. Selection also works across pages, so cleaning up longer documents is just as seamless.
More Control Over How You're Organized
Enterprise admins can now create child organizations directly in Command Center. From the Company Directory, admins can spin up a new child org and select an existing organization to clone settings from.
Divide your data and users in line with your business divisions and branches. Each new child organization will inherit the branding and settings of the organization selected to clone from. Admins in Command Center can see and access all child organizations.
Your Cost Center Data, Ready When You Are
Command Center administrators can now export a complete list of their cost centers directly from Proof. This enables organizations managing large branch networks through cost centers to efficiently audit and report on their organizational structure.
