Unblock Your POA Workflow: A Faster, Smarter Way to Get It Done

Unblock Your POA Workflow: A Faster, Smarter Way to Get It Done

A power of attorney is usually the one document standing between a member and a transaction they have already been approved for, and it is the document most likely to require somebody to drive to a branch during business hours. The person caught in that wait is very often the one least able to make the trip: an adult child acting for a parent, a spouse settling an estate, someone managing affairs from three states away.

Over 45 minutes we will walk the workflow and what the member experiences. What we will cover:

  • POA execution delays are a scheduling problem rather than an underwriting problem, so the fix is removing the appointment instead of speeding up review.
  • Remote online notarization lets a member execute a POA from home with a notary available on demand, including outside branch hours.
  • Verifying the principal's identity to NIST IAL2 addresses the fraud exposure that makes institutions cautious about accepting POAs at all.
  • A digitally executed POA returns with the identity evidence and session recording attached, which is stronger documentation than a mailed original carrying a wet stamp.
