1. Verify eClosing eligibility

Proof gathers the property address, along with the underwriter, and generates a recommendation on whether or not a property can be closed with online notarization. You’ll have confidence that an online closing for your property will be accepted by a county recorder's office and that the underwriter will issue a title policy.

2. Setup a closing package

Email a closing package from the Proof platform, trigger a request through our API, or trigger through one of our integration partners like Ellie Mae or Resware. You may add members your closing team so they stay up-to-date on the closing process.

3. Your customer tests their device

Proof will ask your customer for access to their camera and microphone, and will test the functionality of both. The platform automatically checks their internet strength to ensure strong call quality. Your customers can notarize documents on desktop, mobile, or a tablet.

4. Your customer verifies their identity

Proof uses identity verification technologies required by law to ensure a secure transaction. Your customer will answer a few challenge questions based on the personal information provided (knowledge-based authentication), take photos of their ID (credential analysis), and we'll confirm their identity in seconds.

5. Your customer connects with a notary on a video call

Notaries are available 24/7 and typically connect with signers in less than a second. With Proof, you can use one of the thousands of notaries on the Notarize Network, or you can use your in-house employee notaries.

6. Access and download completed closing package

You and your customer will have immediate access to the completed documents. You both can return to the Proof platform any time to access past documents and upload new ones.
